I've spent 12 years in IT and software, the last three as a solutions architect at Alpha FMC. I'm the technical lead on client work for insurance and financial services firms like Goldman Sachs, Allianz, Lockton, and Mercer Advisors - joining sales for discovery and proofs of concept, designing the data and integration architecture, and leading a team of seven developers through to production. On my own time I build the mobile apps for thrown.party, an AI party planning platform that runs on MongoDB Atlas.

Solutions Architect Oct 2023 - Present

Technical lead on engagements for Goldman Sachs, Allianz, Lockton, Ryan Specialty, and Mercer Advisors, with at least one application in production for each
Manage a team of seven developers, using Claude Code, Cursor, and custom MCP agents to speed up delivery
Partner with Alpha's sales team on new business - joining discovery calls, building and presenting proofs of concept, and giving regular demos to clients, Alpha leadership, and my own team
Design the JSON data structures our Unqork apps store in MongoDB, along with the REST integrations that move that data in and out of each client's systems

Wrote the Python (FastAPI) side on my own, replacing Coherent and Convr.io and standardizing carrier files in every format for Lockton's actuaries

Led the HIPAA-regulated app used daily by about 50 Allianz staff and 20 to 50 outside users

Leading the rebuild of the Board's applications, which see heavy use during elections
